With a little help, homelessness is a temporary situation.
We are all resilient beings, but in really tough times we need compassion, support, and guidance to help us take control of our circumstances. Some of our neighbors lack the basic resources everyone needs most, like a roof over your head, nutritious food, and a warm place to sleep. We welcome our our neighbors exactly where they are, and offer stability and professional guidance to help them overcome these circumstances and rebuild their own path.
Living on the streets can be especially dangerous for women and children who may become the target of violence or exploitation. Bakersfield Homeless Center operates the only shelter in Kern County for homeless women and children, enabling our most vulnerable families access to the safety and support they need.
Your donation provides care and assistance giving hope and restoration to families experiencing homelessness.
